Overview

Thinkrr Voice AI runs on credits. Credits power everything that consumes resources on the platform, including live calls, test calls, outbound campaigns, and AVA. Each operation consumes credits based on what it actually does, so your cost always reflects real usage. 1 credit = $0.01. This document explains the types of credits, the order in which they are consumed, what determines how many credits an operation uses, how to buy more, and where to track your usage.

Credit Types

Your balance is made up of three types of credits. Each type has its own rules for when it is granted, how long it lasts, and what it can be used for. Once your test credits are used up, they no longer appear in your balance.

Credit Consumption Order

Thinkrr always consumes credits in a fixed order so that the credits that expire soonest are used first. Test calls and AVA
  1. Test credits
  2. Subscription credits
  3. Purchased credits
All other credit-consuming actions (live calls and outbound campaigns)
  1. Subscription credits
  2. Purchased credits
Test credits are never used for live calls or outbound campaigns. Purchased credits are always used last, so they remain available until you need them.

What Consumes Credits

Credit consumption is dynamic. Each operation is billed based on its actual cost, which depends on what was done and how the agent or AVA is configured. For example, an agent’s configuration, such as the knowledge packs and actions it uses, affects how many credits its calls consume. The following consume credits:
  • Live calls handled by inbound agents and outbound campaigns
  • Test calls, which are charged in the same way as live calls
  • AVA, which consumes credits based on the actions it performs
AVA requires a positive credit balance to run.

Premium, Basic & Automatic

Each agent runs on the Premium tier, the Basic tier, or Automatic mode. The tier determines the level of voice quality, conversational depth, and contextual understanding used during calls. All tiers support all scenarios and workflows, and all draw credits from the same balance.

Premium

Premium is built for complex reasoning, superior voice quality, and higher intelligence, and is better suited for longer conversations. Performance Characteristics
  • More natural, expressive, human-like tone
  • Stronger handling of objections and follow-up questions
  • Better at maintaining context across longer conversations
  • Smoother pacing and more realistic timing
  • Clear improvement in nuance, inflection, and emotional expression
Best For
  • Customer-facing conversations
  • Sales, demos, and appointment setting
  • Complex branching flows or logic-heavy calls
  • Situations where tone, clarity, and conversational realism matter
  • Any interaction where first impressions impact results

Basic

Basic handles simpler everyday tasks with low back-and-forth, and consumes fewer credits than Premium. Performance Characteristics
  • Faster, more direct speaking style
  • Less expressive but still clear and reliable
  • Ideal for predictable or short conversations
  • Reduced nuance handling compared to Premium
  • Optimized for high-volume calling and cost efficiency
Best For
  • Bulk outbound campaigns
  • Short, simple, or repetitive calls
  • Data collection and survey-style interactions
  • Internal workflows or non-customer-facing tasks
  • High-volume use cases where nuance isn’t critical

Automatic

Automatic uses different models dynamically based on your current credit balance. When your remaining balance drops below a set percentage, the agent switches to Basic to extend agent runtime and conserve credits.
  • The default threshold is 30% of your remaining credits.
  • You can edit the threshold to any value you prefer by clicking the percentage inside the Automatic option.
  • The threshold is based on your total credit balance, so it works the same way on every plan.

How to Choose

If the conversation involves objections, scheduling, multiple decision paths, or anything requiring personality or nuance, choose Premium. If the goal is efficiency, scale, or simple data capture, and the conversation flow is straightforward, choose Basic. If you want to keep agents running as your balance gets low, choose Automatic.

Viewing Your Credit Balance

Your balance is shown in Profile Settings > Billing, under Credit Balance. It displays the total credits available and a breakdown by credit type:
  • Subscription credits: the credits you have left, the date they reset, and the percentage used.
  • Purchased credits: the credits you have left.
  • Test credits: the credits you have left, shown until they are used up.
Below your balance, Billing History lists every charge and credit grant with its date, description, credits, amount, and status. Click View to open the invoice or receipt for an entry.

When Your Balance Reaches Zero

When your total credit balance reaches zero, actions that consume credits stop until you add more credits. To keep your agents and AVA running without interruption, set up auto-recharge.

  • By agent: each agent’s credit consumption and its share of the total. Use the search field to find a specific agent.
  • Credit consumption: a log of every event with its date, source, type (such as inbound widget, inbound test, or AI assistant), number of events, and credits. Purchases and grants appear in the same log. Use Columns to choose which columns to display.

Agency Controls & Sub-Account Pricing

Agencies can apply a margin to the credits their sub-accounts purchase.
  • The base price is $0.01 per credit.
  • The margin is a percentage set in Profile Settings > Billing > Margin under Your rate.
  • When a sub-account buys credits, the agency’s margin is added on top of the base price. Sub-accounts see the resulting package prices, not the percentage.
  • Account Manager shows the credits sold to sub-accounts, your earnings, and your current margin. Use Don’t Apply Markup on a sub-account to charge it the base price.
For more information, see Margin Settings.
