Overview

This system ensures users have a flexible way to manage their call usage by attaching a payment method and buying minutes as needed. Available to all users (agencies, agency clients, and regular accounts) the Pay-as-you-go System offers a seamless way to top up account balances and ensure uninterrupted service.

This feature is not to be confused with the Pay-as-you-go (Unlimited) Agency Subscription Plan but applies to how minutes are purchased and utilized across all subscription types.

How Minutes Are Used in AVA

To make or receive calls through AVA, a user must have sufficient minutes in their account. Minutes can be acquired in two primary ways:

Provided by thinkrr.ai

Partner Plan Agencies receive a monthly allowance of minutes that can be distributed to Sub-accounts. These minutes do not carry over to the next month.

Purchased via the Pay-as-you-go System

  • Agencies and regular users can purchase minutes directly using the Pay-as-you-go System to ensure they have enough balance to use the AVA platform.

Pricing Structure

  • Base Rate: USD $0.18 per minute
    • This is the standard thinkrr.ai define rate at which minutes are purchased by agencies and regular users.
  • Agency Markup:
    • Agencies can define a custom markup on minutes for their Sub-accounts.
    • Example: If an agency sets a $0.20 per minute price for their clients, the agency keeps $0.02 profit for each minute purchased by a client.

How to Purchase Minutes

Navigate to the Payments Section

  • Log into the AVA Voice AI platform.
  • In the main side panel, click Payments to open the Wallet view.

Add a Payment Method

  • In the Payments section, you’ll see your current balance of minutes and the dollar equivalent value.
  • Click Add Payment Method and input your credit or debit card details.

A refundable charge of USD $1 will be made to verify your payment method.

Purchase Minutes

  • Once your payment method is verified, enter the number of minutes you want to purchase and click Buy Minutes.
  • Purchased minutes are added to your Wallet instantly and are available for immediate use.

Set Up Auto-Recharge (Optional)

  • To ensure uninterrupted calling, set up Auto-Recharge to automatically top up your balance when it falls below a certain threshold.
  • Enter the Minimum Threshold amount and the Auto-Recharge Amount.
    • Example: If your balance falls below $10, the system can automatically purchase an additional $50 worth of minutes.

Priority of Minutes Usage

Minutes are used in the following order of priority:

  1. Provided Minutes (Subscription/Agency Allocated)
    • Minutes provided by thinkrr.ai as part of a subscription plan or allocated by an agency are always used first.
  2. Purchased Minutes (Pay-as-you-go)
    • Purchased minutes are lowest priority and will only be used after all provided/allocated minutes are depleted.

This ensures that users maximize the use of their provided minutes before tapping into their purchased balance.

Agency-Specific Rules

  • Agency Admin Accounts Cannot Purchase Minutes Directly:
    • Only the Primary Sub-account (the working account of the agency) can purchase minutes.
    • From there, minutes can be distributed to client Sub-accounts as needed.
  • Custom Pricing for Clients:
    • Agencies can set a custom global per-minute price for their clients using the Pay-as-you-go System and then select which of their client accounts this mark-up applies to.
    • Any profit made from the markup will be reflected in the agency’s Profit Payouts and can be withdrawn via Stripe once the payout threshold is met.
