What Is Auto-Recharge?

Auto-Recharge is an automation feature that allows users to automatically purchase more minutes when their wallet balance falls below a predefined Threshold amount. This feature ensures that users don’t need to manually purchase minutes every time their balance runs low, minimizing the risk of disruptions and interrupted calls.

For example:

  • Threshold Amount: $10
  • Auto-Recharge Amount: $50

In this case, when the user’s wallet balance falls below $10, the system will automatically charge the user’s saved payment method to purchase an additional $50 worth of minutes.

How to Set Up Auto-Recharge & Threshold Settings

Navigate to the Payments Section

  • In the AVA Voice AI platform, click on Payments from the main side panel to access your wallet.

Add a Payment Method (if not already done)

  • Ensure you have a valid credit or debit card added to your account.

Set Your Threshold & Auto-Recharge Amount

  • In the Payments section, you’ll find options to set:
    • Minimum Threshold: The wallet balance that triggers an Auto-Recharge.
    • Auto-Recharge Amount: The amount of minutes purchased when the balance falls below the Threshold.

Save Settings

  • Click Save to activate Auto-Recharge and ensure your account remains topped up.

Important Considerations

  • Wallet Balance Must Exceed the Threshold Amount:

    • When setting your minimum Threshold, ensure that your current wallet balance exceeds the Threshold amount. If your balance is below the threshold at the time of setup, the system will immediately process a recharge to bring the balance above the threshold.

    Example:

    • If you set your Threshold at $20, but your wallet balance is currently $15, the system will initiate an auto-recharge to raise your balance above $20 using your saved payment method.
  • Customizable Thresholds:

    • Users can adjust their Threshold and Auto-Recharge amounts based on their calling needs. For businesses with high call volumes, setting a higher Threshold and recharge amount is recommended to avoid frequent recharges.
